Moya Brennan (06.12.2012)

U2’s Bono said about her, “I think Moya has one of the greatest voices the human ear has ever experienced.”
Moya Brennan comes from one of the best known musical families in Ireland. Her younger sister is Enya and Moya herself is the voice of Clannad, a band which features her two brothers and two uncles, and has brought Irish and Celtic music to an international audience. She has sold over 20 million records worldwide and recorded 17 albums with Clannad winning a Grammy, a BAFTA and an Ivor Novello award.
She is in Geneva for one night only with the support of three great musicians to perform her Christmas Show which she has toured all over the world. It will be a great night. And again it will be in aid of a good cause, one that should resonate with everyone at this time of year: providing love and care to street children in Darjeeling, India.
GLAS would like thank you for the great turn-out at our last event, the Luka Bloom concert which raised CHF6,000 for the Edith Wilkins Street Children Foundation.  Luka also agreed to become a patron of the Foundation.
We don’t like to spend money on advertising when we could be spending it on these children, so please circulate this to family and friends who might enjoy this seasonal outing and an opportunity to socialise and  try out the traditional delicious GLAS smoked salmon sandwiches washed down with a glass of wine or a beer.
