It was a close call, but GLAS has decided to save Christmas and bring the mighty John Spillane to town for a magic night of music, songs and stories in the lovely confines of the Lutheran Church in the heart of Geneva’s old town.
John’s latest album The Legend of the Lough was named Irish folk album of the year. We first brought him to Geneva ten years ago and the GLAS audience loved him. The singer-songwriter from Cork has performed all over the world: throughout Europe, in the USA and Canada, Australia, Zambia, Senegal, China and Japan.
Join us from 18.30 for an apéro and the traditional GLAS Christmas treat of home-made brown bread with smoked salmon. We’ll have empanadas too.

“I sing John Spillane songs everywhere I go. John is my favourite songwriter for the past ten years and I’ve been blessed to record a number of his songs.” – Christy Moore
“John’s songs are the heart and soul of our island and they’ll be sung around the world for as long as there is song.” – Damien Dempsey
