It has been a while since we offered you a musical evening and it is even further back in the pre-COVID past since that magical evening we enjoyed in the company of John Spillane in the Lutheran Evangelical Church here in Geneva.
Generous sponsorship has made it possible to invite all GLAS members to join us next Thursday, 3 December at 21:00 CET for a live performance by John Spillane and Band from the legendary DeBarra’s Folk Club in Clonakilty, the cultural capital of West Cork.
A link will be sent to the GLAS mailing list about 30 minutes before the show starts. That gives you plenty of time to put the kettle on or to find a bottle opener.
The audience feedback from John’s last visit to Geneva was amazing. People absolutely loved it. This will be different but a chance to see him play with a band behind him and to get a taste of his beautiful new album 100 Snow White Horses which is a testament to why Christy Moore says John is his favourite songwriter.
All we ask in return is that you put it in the diary, tell your friends and if you can afford it make a donation to our favourite cause the Edith Wilkins Foundation for Street Children in Darjeeling. Here are the details:

It’s Christmas and they have had a tough year under lockdown. COVID is rampant in Darjeeling and has curtailed the Foundation’s outreach to poor children living in slums but they continue to take in children referred by the police and social workers.
